KINGSTON, N.Y. – “Unbelievable! Unbelievable! Unbelievable!” is how Tour de Kingston-Ulster founder Allen Nace succinctly described Sunday’s 8th annual ride.
“We had more riders, of all ages, and kids riding in their parents’ trailers, than ever before,” an elated Nace said Sunday afternoon at Forsyth Park in Kingston, where the tour began at 9 a.m. and ended with a picnic.
The event, co-sponsored by the YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County and the HealthAlliance Foundation, attracted close to 500 riders, the largest since its founding in 2006. (Remainder of DailyFreeman article)

5th Annual Tour a Great Success
Our 2010 Tour saw more riders participating than any of our previous tours. Early indications are that many of the Tours previous 12 & 25 mile riders stepped up this tour and rode our 50 mile run.
Most riders of this years tour reported an extremely positive experience in all 3 of this years routes. Another great indicator of this years success was many more families with children participated this year.
Both Kingston NY YMCA "Amy's Fireflies" and "The Famous Bike Brothers" teams won this years awards for the "most riders"
Jason Farina received the Kathy Janascek Scholarship and Caroline Bell received the Dr. Douglas Astion Scholarship.
